And how about Christmas Day on the World's Largest Sand Island?! On Fraser Island, Santa's more likely to arrive by rural fire brigade truck than by sleigh and the halls aren't decked with holly, but the atmosphere is certainly festive. Come December 25, Kingfisher Bay Resort's signature Seabelle restaurant will offer a festive degustation experience against a seasonal backdrop of wattle, swamp banksias and native mistletoe, which will be in bloom around the resort.
Not to be outdone, the resort's popular buffet restaurant Maheno, the Maheno Lounge, the Dingo Deck (outdoors and poolside) and Ballroom will serve up a Christmas lunch laden with seafood and turkey.
